Annual Report

The Friends had a successful year helping support library programs and community events. The main fundraising event was the ninth annual Festival of Tables with a “Royal Event”  wedding theme. A photo contest was also held with the winning entries compiled into a photo book, Pure Lakewood, with copies sold to the community. October marked the 25th Anniversary of our Friends group.

Friends participated in Girls Night Out, the Lake Odessa Fair Parade, Depot Day, the Summer Car Show, and Fall Festival.  In addition, members parked cars at Art-in-the-Park and sold used books during Christmas Round –the-Town.

The Friends Board of Directors  worked with the Library Board to build a case for support of the Building Expansion Plan and continue to work on various capital campaign committees.
