About the Library

Library Receives Essential Level Certification
The Library recently received recognition of the Essential Level of the Library of Michigan’s Quality Services Audit Checklist. Certification shows the public that the Library is providing them with quality library service. The Library staff earned this as a result of hard work and dedication to serving the public.

This earned honor comes after the Library demonstrated competence in human resources, governance & administration, services, collection development, technology, facilities and equipment, and public relations & marketing.

Hats off to Library Director, Connie Teachworth, and her fine and competent staff.

Board of Trustees
The Lake Odessa Community Library is governed by a Board of Trustees.  These trustees are appointed by the Village of Lake Odessa and Odessa Township. Current Board members are:

Tammy Pytlowany - Secretary
Brenda Barrone - Treasurer
Kim Deardorff - Trustee
Bernice Goodemoot - Trustee
Dale Mossberg - Trustee

Library Staff
Day-to-day operations of the library are under the supervision of the Library Director, Connie Teachworth. You can reach Connie by e-mail by clicking here.  Other staff members are: Deb Morrison, Julie Stahl and Stephanie Stahl.

Friends of the Library
The idea that a friend is “a person who supports another’s ideas and is there when needed” applies to individual relationships. It also applies to the Friends of the Library, whose members give monetarily in membership dues to buy necessary articles, and who also volunteer their time. Friends officers are:
