Author and speaker, Teresa K Irish is visiting the library!
Born and raised in Saginaw, MI, Teresa Irish graduate from Michigan State in 1984. She has worked in higher education administration, the staffing industry, and most recently as a vice-president for a national home healthcare & hospice company. Teresa published A Thousand Letters Home five years after finding her father's 1,000 handwritten WWII letters and 250 corresponding photographs shortly after his death. She retired in April, 2012 to devote her time to sharing the poignant and life-affirming message of “The Journey of the Letters” through speaking engagements and book events. Teresa has been the featured speaker/author at over 90 venues in multiple states and has appeared on ABC News, National Public Radio, The National Defense, Veterans Radio, and Military Author Radio. The story of “The Journey of the Letters” has been reported in newspapers throughout the country. Teresa resides in Northville, MI and is married to LTC Bradley J. Foster who is currently serving at U.S. Army Forces Command, Fort Bragg, NC.
