FRIENDS OF THE LAKE ODESSA COMMUNITY LIBRARY

ANNUAL REPORT 2015-2016

It was another fun-filled fundraising year for the Friends of the Lake Odessa Community Library—with gifts to the Library totaling almost $1,600.

The Friends helped library staff move in March 2015 to the renovated and expanded Library in downtown Lake Odessa and hosted an Open House in May 2015 for area residents and All Booked Up and Ready to Grow Campaign contributors.   Items were purchased to help maintain the new building like a dehumidifier for the basement, commercial vacuum cleaner, mop system, microwave/convection oven and paper shredder.  Friends Board Members continued their support of the Library making personal donations of china and silverware for use at special events.

Friends held their annual Festival of Tables in April with an informative program by Scott Stokes, Southern Exposure Herb Farm, on easy projects using found objects to make and decorate your patio and garden areas.  Fall Tea Time at the Library was also a success with a program on the safe use of essential oils presented by Vicki Goethals, Certified Naturopathic Doctor and Esoteric Healing Practitioner.
